Danial Baird, CSA, MSc., MBA

               Mr. Daniel Baird, CSA has over 20 years of experience in all types of surgery, but
               with a specialty focus on robotics and minimally invasive Gynecology, Oncology,
               Urology, and General Surgical procedures.  He served for more than 15 years on
               the Board of Directors of the National Surgical Assistants Association, including two
               terms as President. He is also an affiliate member of the American College of
               Surgeons, and the American College of Healthcare Executives.  His medical
               research efforts in the field of surgery have led to over 30 United States and
               International patents in the fields of Spinal Surgery, Infection Control, and
               Pathogen Detection.

               In addition to his experience training physicians and staff at multiple metro-Atlanta
               Hospitals and Surgery Centers, Dan was a key developer and a principal instructor
               at the U.S. Army Emergency War Surgery Course, taught at the University of
               Georgia Veterinary School. This course included both didactic elements and live
               animal labs. Dan also currently holds an Adjunct Faculty position at the Eastern
               Virginia Medical School; where he works as an instructor in the School of Health
               Professions – Masters of Surgical Assisting Program.

               Dan’s primary Surgical Assisting education was obtained at the Uniformed Services
               Academy of Health Sciences in San Antonio, Texas. While serving in the U.S. Army,
               he earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Relations and Political Science, as
               well as a Master of Science in Health Sciences (M.S.H.S.) degree in Clinical
               Healthcare Operations, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health
               Systems Administration. During his service in the U.S. Army, he held positions as
               both an enlisted soldier and a non-commissioned officer in the Medical Corps, and
               eventually as a commissioned Officer in the Intelligence Corps. Dan spent his final
               six years in the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, almost two of which were
               spent in Afghanistan as the Theater Psychological Operations Officer.

               Dan is married and has two teenage boys and two dogs. They reside in Woodstock,
               GA and he is credentialed as a Certified Surgical Assistant in several hospitals and
               surgery centers in and around the Atlanta area.
