Welcome to “Crystal City”!

On behalf of the 2017 Conference Planning Committee, President Flagg, and the
NSAA staff, let me welcome you to Arlington Virginia’s “Crystal City” and NSAA’s
34 National Conference and General Meeting! I hope that you will enjoy this great

educational opportunity and visit with old friends, make new friends, and explore
this Unique City!

Collectively this conference offers up to 16 contact hours of continuing education
units (CEU) featuring updates on state and federal policy, networking with your
colleagues, an exhibit hall filled with the latest goods and services for CSAs and
students, and of course, dynamic speakers who will share their unique perspectives
on the role of the surgical assistant in the ever-changing health care environment.

Crystal City has a little bit of everything as well as lots of restaurants and hotels.
One popular attraction is the Crystal City Water Park, where water cascades down
steps and pours through a series of openings, creating a relaxing setting.
Restaurants abound along 23rd Street South where big name and lesser-known
establishments stand side by side.

Its location also offers convenient access to our nation’s Capital, the White House,
Monuments, the Washington National Zoo, and the Arlington National Cemetery.
…..all of these attractions are easily accessible by cab or Metro!

So, if you have some extra time, get out and explore the city and DC, but first
enjoy a great conference!
